Maroon Bells

US$20.00

Wade and I learned the National Park parking debacle the hard way on our trip to Aspen a few years ago. If you aren’t already aware, most National Parks now require purchasing a parking pass in advance, especially for peak times (such as sunrise or sunset.) I was dying to see the sun reflect on the mountains for the iconic Maroon Bells sunrise, so we did what we had to do to get in there. Unfortunately for my lungs and legs, that entailed getting up at 4am to BIKE up the mountain from Aspen. Even though these were electric bikes, we were still dying & quite literally delirious. When we finally made it, it started raining and we never the saw the sun. I will need to go back for a proper sunrise moment there, but I love how moody these shots turned out like! Shit happens and we can almost always laugh it off. As Wade stated it, “at least we didn’t get eaten by a bear.” Your purchase includes a vertical and horizontal photo.
